I second the Lyman Great plains. But....The T/C Hawken is a very nice rifle as well. It really depends on what all you want to shoot. A slower twist is best for round balls. That is what I shoot in my Kentucky. 1:66 Twist. But if you want to shoot Sabots or conicals, go with the 1:48 or faster twist...

Yep.....It is actually very simple and alot of folks don't realize that your barrel is and extention of your cartridge/case. It take a certain amount of pressure inside the case to push the bullet out of the case, but that does not mean that all of the powder in the case was burnt up during that pro...

NO...One shot one kill! I only took a second shot at one deer case I did not want it to go down into this deep canyon. So I shot it through the neck and dropped it where it stood.

I'll tell you what, once you get one and work up your loads as well as get used to the weight,

you will love it. they are really fun to shoot and they will shoot better than you can see.
