Iikocher, I get it , In Your Shoes ( and I've been there ) in the 1854 the .44 mag is the winner all day long .ammo can be found just about anywhere and if You reload brass is cheap and easy to get. Good Luck.

That's a Great tip about the Gong! And Yes Try to always where Eye protection . I have had six eye surgery's and even a generation ago I would be blind by now. Many years ago I found several on used gun racks at Cabela's at different times. They All had cracks in the fore end to some degree. I think Rossi worked to improve that.

25* here now. later today the artic air comes in and going to be near zero for three days. still some open water on Lake Erie and Lord know how much snow we could end up with. after Thanksgiving we had 48" in three days. I'm getting too old for that much.
