Yeah, but those are Rossi's. Nothing wrong with Rossi but I can't see paying that much for one.

The Mare's Leg from AWA is interesting to say the least. I wonder why there wasn't some sort big fan fair? Well, if check out the PDF Catalog from ArmiSport http://www.armisport.com/ita/catalogo.pdf you will find the Take Down Mare's Leg they are referring to. It's on page (16 of 68 ) or Sez1:14. I ...

I'm not sure on the exact price on the Mare's Leg from Chiappa but the going price for the Rio Bravo Model 92 is around $800.00. I've even seen it for as low as $640.00. The price on the Mare's Leg from Chiappa should be less than the $1500.00 from JB Custom. The JB Custom is a Rossi made item. Ther...

Yanqui, are you being dense or trying to be funny or what? S&W sold out to the Clinton gun ban bunch several years ago. They now have a manual keyed lock on their double action revolvers. A stupid ugly thing that serves no purpose other then makes the lawyers happy. I believe the answer is &quo...

As far as the AR15, I can just about gauruntee S&W neither manufactures any parts, nor assembles them. With all the manufacturers out there, there would be no sound economic reason to. The lowers for almost every AR15 retailer out there are made by one company, Lewis Machine Tool, they simply r...

There's a SAA that has a %$%# lock on the sideplate? Hmm I'd never seen such a thing. Do you happen to have a picture of one or maybe own one? I'd like to see it.

STI has a 1911 eh? I'll check it out.

It's never to late to get into the game. Besides how many companies are out there now offering the 1911 and the AR15? How many 1911's and AR15's do we need? And why can't Rock River Arms, Kimber, S&W and others offer a basic affordable 1911 without all the bells and whistles that some of us will...

PHX Gun Show tale

I happened to be at the gun show here in Phoenix this past weekend looking for a SAA and heard a little bird squeek. I started talking to this one person who after a while I found out works for S&W. I was checking out a dealers SAA's and I started talking to this one guy next to me. We talked ab...

I've had a problem with Ruger ever since the old man wrote and pushed through the '94 Assault Weapons Ban. I believe his statement was that "No honest man needs more than a 10 round magazine". I guess he must have felt that LEO's weren't "honest" since his company restricted the...

I guess it is rather silly or childish of me to think in this manner but don't you think it's rather silly for the Ruger organization to be just as childish? So the Lear Holdings Corp. decided to sell S&W to F.H. Hopkins (a british firm) and not to Bill Ruger back in 1987. Isn't Ruger big enough...

Proper caliber designation

I was a little surprised that Ruger does not state the name of the original designer of the ammuntion used on their firearm. I noticed that the Ruger New Vaquero simply states 45 Cal. not 45 Colt. Do other manufactures do the same or do they give credit where credit is do? I do remember that Ruger a...

I've given it alot of thought and I'm going to go with a pair of USFA Rodeo's probably with 5.5" barrels. I just wish they had one with a 7.5" barrel. My Winchester 94 Wrangler in 32 Winchester Special has the same type of finish by Robar.

Thanks for the input.

OT - What to choose in a U.S.A. made SAA

I'm at a loss. I am going to purchase a couple of SAA's. The thing is I'm staying made in U.S.A. all the way. I've nothing against the foreign made SAA's. So I'm trying to decide between Ruger and U.S.F.A. I have never been a Ruger fan because of their style of SAA. The frame was always larger and n...
