Re: 45-70 Hunting load

You know that's probably where I've been going wrong. The Whole bullet you say? :D Hobie do you know what kind of velocity you're seeing with that load? I know what is accurate for you may not be for me. I'm just looking at getting a starting point for working up my load. Thanks.

45-70 Hunting load

Looking for some advice for a hunting load. I'm using a marlin guide gun. I have Winchester brass with CCI200 primers and Hornady 300 grain JHP tips. Looking for a load using either H335 or H4895. Most info I've found says to start the H335 at 58 grains and the H4895 at 61 grains. Anybody use this c...

Re: Are there any consistently reliable Trail Cams out there?

I recently took the plunge into the world of trail camera's. I got a Bushnell 5.0 megapixel Trophy cam. It was 199 at Cabela's. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0068193418846a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntk=Products&Q...

Re: Non-lever ? - Does anyone have one of these on their AR?

I don't have the Adams Arms one but the Primary Weapons Systems one. http://primaryweapons.com/store/pc/home.asp I got my upper built from Addax tactical who is a certified installer for PWS http://www.addaxgpu.com/ . The system is great and it's a breeze to clean up after a day of shooting. The pis...

Re: Marlin 1894 Cowboy Comp. .38 Special

They are nice guns, I like mine. They are starting to fetch some high prices. They had two types of case coloring. An old natural looking color in the early production ones, then the very colorful striped looking kind in the later production ones. I prefer the original looking coloring but that's my...

Re: Where were YOU on 9-11-2001?

I was in the communication room of the Campus Police Department fixing a computer. They turned the TV on when they heard what happened over the radio. The rest of the day we were fixed on trying to find out what happened and to see if anything more was going to happen. Can't believe it's been seven ...

Check your local library. They might have something like Rosetta Stone that you can use for free. I know our local library has Rosetta Stone we can use for free.

Re: Marlin 1895 .410 shotgun

I stopped by the Cabela's in Hamburg PA. They had 3 of these newer 410's. I have one that was produced a few years ago and the ones they had were a little different. They had sling swivel studs and no bullseye in the stock. The rear swivels were driven really hard into the wood and I questioned if i...

Nice Nightster. I love what Harley has done with some of their new production bikes, this being one of them. Here's my new Ride as of August last year.

Re: OT-AR15.com problems..

four AK-47s, a sniper rifle and scope, seven handguns, 132 ammunition magazines and about 7,000 ammunition rounds. You know to most non gun people that probably sounds excessive. But I'm sure a lot of us have similar amounts if not more. Maybe not the same type of gun but still an "arsenal&quo...

My wife and I have had good luck with Iberostar resorts. http://www.iberostar.com/EN/home.html We've been to Cozumel Mexico and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic at the Bavaro resort. Both were great places. We really liked the Dominican Republic though.

I'm well ahead of you. I'm currently going back to school part time as a geology major. I just started last year. It'll take me a few years going part time but I'll get there.
