I own a Rossi R95 in 30-30 that is quite well built. Fit and finish is flawless. Accuracy is 1.75 - 2 inches at 100 yards with plain Hornady 150 grain Interlock ammo. I bought Weaver scope bases and rings to mount a Simmons scope. Hope this is helpful. TR

I owned a Savage 24 back in the 1960's that featured a full choke. For me, it was difficult to down running or flying upland game. So I traded for a single barrel 20 gauge with cylinder bore and my success rate climbed. I prefer a wide pattern. TR

Here in Florida where I live during most of the year, a short carbine that can stand up to frequent afternoon tropical showers is ideal. We hunt wild pigs year round.
This is my Mossberg model 464 that I have grown quite fond of for its accuracy and handling. 30-30 is a keeper!
