Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Predators are adaptable, over here you are more likely to see a Fox in the city than in the countryside.

LRe: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
We have a lot less in the predator department over here so the rabbits can become a plague unless decimated by disease. It happened in Australia and they imported myxomatosis from south America and then it was spread in the UK illegally by farmers in 1953. The latest disease HRD was first seen in 20...

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Jay the rabbits used to be very consistent but the disease they got a few years ago has desimated their numbers just after they had made a comeback from myxomatosis which was spread by farmers in the 1950s

My son and his wife are in Poland visiting friends so I'm home alone looking after their dog.
Weather has been good 75 and pleasant, I saw the rarest of the rare this morning an actual Rabbit
sure hope their numbers increase might make up for the lack of Squirrels.

Bill, I've not heard of the Bam/xisico but they certainly look interesting 8) I have a few 21.14gr Barracuda pellets my son gave me but haven't tried them yet, I agree that heavy pellets have more clout but UK law limits air rifles to only 12 foot pounds at the muzzle so you're lucky if you can get ...

It's a handsome air rifle John. Any idea who builds it? Harder to find the wood-stocked version here these days. My little Norica Thor gas ram has lost power and required urgent parts replacement, so I decided to replace it with the Remington Pest Controller, I chose .22 even though my preference is .177 as my old fingers are too slow getting those little .177 pellets in the breech. So far I'm pleased and impr...

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
The last .177 I was using was spitting them out at about 770fps, when my son buys his high-powered air rifle he will expect unbelievable to me velocities, I just prefer .22 Lr when I need that sort of power but there are quite a few places that request only airguns to be used for pest control...

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
I don't have a chronograph but according to reviews I have seen with average to heavy .22 pellets out of a sub 12 FTP rifle velocity is between 550 to 600 FPS the lightweight pellets should be well above 600 FPS, UK law restricts air rifles to 12 FTP at the muzzle. Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
I'm hoping to try a few different pellets as the Bisley pest control are hollow points and I can't see that as an advantage at 600fps I have always preferred round nose pellets.
