When I was a gamekeeper I took my 1st wife and her sisters family down to the local pub in my stripped down 1950 Land rover as I pulled into the carpark we were cheered by a crowd of drinkers who came over to see the series one, not often did I get such a reception just going for a pint.... :D Sadly...

Yes they were born the same year as me and the first prototype was built on a Jeep chassis.

I never owned a Jeep but my series one LandRovers were fun and easier to find over here.

Our UK roads don't get that bad but the potholes are everywhere I have had two brand new tires wrecked because of darn potholes and I'm still missing a hubcap from when I lived in Somerset.

My son found an old ESSO quart oil bottle in a wood where he was fencing, I don't know how old it is but I never saw them when I was a Grease Monkey back in the sixties, anyway they are now selling for over $40.00

so I'm hunting for more.

Looks like you've modified the handle..the number 7 is illegal to carry in the UK on two counts, the blade is 3.1" and the locking collar

I popped into the local farm supply store today and they have a display of Opinel knives although I intended to get the number 10 this little number 7 caught my eye.

I have never owned a Buck knife, had a few cheap knock offs must remedy that.

I once had an Opinel number 12 but unlike any Opinels I have used the blade was easily damaged, must have been from a bad batch as I've never seen a knife with such a soft blade. If I can't find my number 9 I too might try the number 10 with the carbon steel blade. The number 8 is a favourite rabbit...

That reminds me I haven't seen my Opinels since I moved, I had a few over the years my favourite was the number 9. I recently bought this Antonini Maniaghese slip joint but not very impressed with the quality.

Jay my friend you are definitely in the wrong job , you should either be competing or designing those bikes...

I only ever modified one motorbike and that was way back in 66 it did however attract a bit of attention when I was a marshall at different motorcycle scrambles and trials.
