Re: help with scope dilemma
I am in the middle of working on just this issue! The Leupold VX-Freedom 1.5-4x20 is my current guinea pig on my 1894. I use an Ashley Performance mount to move the scope more over the receiver HOWEVER, Leupold is discontinuing many of the Dual Dovetail rings and the Medium 1" rings are what th...

I always wondered why they didn't do an L frame. They have the 5 shot 44 L frame and a 7 shot 357. Can they not do a 6 shot 41 that isn't an N frame? I know that basically its sort of the same same but I assume the L frame would be lighter. Why not do an L frame 41 mag Mountain Gun?

I have been getting more interesting in buying a couple of cans, so I have made several inquiries, and my brother-in-law has been shooting them for years and my nephew shoots F class competition and shoots cans a lot. Is there a particular BHN you look for Jim? In GA, we have to use “expanding” bullets for hunting but we seem to have some leeway on what that means.

It was always legal to build your own. You had to and still do, submit a Form 1 with tax then once approved, you could make it with the serial number you filed with.

.452 Cast Bullets for Hunting Recommendation
Instead of hyjacking the Sixgun Sights thread, I figure I’d just ask. The gun in question is a Pietta made 4.75 inch Single Action; the SA1873. We’re no longer financially in a position for me to pick up a Blackhawk so I’m making do. My last research for .45 Colt bullets put me toward the lower end ...

This brings up a good point. I have pretty much abandoned my .45 Colt reloading project for the time being because the point of impact on my Pietta Cabela's Special hits so low with everything I've tried that I can't really use it for anything beyond making noise or maybe CAS. I don't know if a muc...

We’re between suitable farm vehicles at the moment. I had been using an 03 4Runner since 2020 that worked out as a great farm and daily type runner. It had nearly 360,000 miles when I sold it last year after it broke down too many times in a short span. We swapped into an 08 Tahoe for the wife and n...

I had one for a few years. It was an 80’s era Trapper. The action was chunky and not particularly smooth. I never got around to testing accuracy or any of that but it seemed fine. I ended up selling it since I just sat. Someone else should be able to enjoy it.
