Random Question on peep sights?
I don't have a peep sight on anything yet, but I have a couple of rifles that eventually are going to be wearing a Foolproof. My question is: I once read (in an older book) that for a hunting rifle, the best thing you could do was unscrew the little eyepiece, and throw it away. Is that true? It seem...

I've got a '79 vintage 94 that is a non AE and I don't believe it has a scintered receiver. I could be wrong though as I have only handled a few that I knew for sure were. So take that for what it's worth. I can post pictures if anybody would like.

Dang near any variety of 220 grain '06 ammo...a few months back, Gander mountain had some Core-Lokts for $20 or so a box, and I passed on them figuring I'd pick some up later. I think things are starting to get better around here. I'm not disparaging stand hunting in any way. I called it ambushing because it fits the definition. The hunter waits for and attacks the prey from concealment. It is a legimate hunting method that I use. Most modern doghunters are not concealed on stand and their prey is very aware that they are be...

My bare minimum would be
Winchester 94 in 30-30 mfg 1979
Browning BPS 20ga
Daisy Single shot bolt action .22lr
With those three guns I would feel quite confident doing almost anything. And, if I could throw in my Dan Wesson 15 I know I'd be in good shape.
