Unique at Brownells
Just FYI, Brownells has Unique at the moment in 1lb and 4lb cannisters for $49 and $182. I'm sure it will show up at other online retailers at some point.

Re: Unique at Brownells
I put back plenty of everything I thought I would ever need for me and my sons after the first shortage. Coming back to Arkansas from a prairie dog hunt we stopped by Powder Valley in Kansas and loaded up by the case. Powder and primers. Best move I ever made, only thing that I'm short on is 2400 and had never used it till I had to quit short and long range benchrest due to back trouble and took up handgun caliber carbines and I've found nothing in my stash that equals it . Been fooling with VV110 and it's sorta working but I sure would love to find some 2400 but I'd probably have to take out a loan. ... John

I always loved Unique for 38 special loads, but there's so many powders on the market now that I can't say that any powder isn't replaceable now. But if I see Unique back on my local shelves, I'll definitely be picking up a can.

Re: Unique at Brownells
I could use or would like to have a few pounds more of 2400, only got about 3 lbs. of it.
But I got lucky on the Unique. I already had one 8 pound jug, and a single pound can or two, and then I was talking to one of the guys at the local gun shop, recently, and he had in his personal stash another 8 lb. jug of Unique that he had no use for, and I ended up buying it for $100 for the whole jug. So, I am set probably for life on Unique. And I just went and looked after first seeing this post and I have probably 6 lbs. of Bullseye and maybe even more of W231. So, it's time to work up some of those old Skeeter loads of Unique for my big bore pistols. Anyway, I had just mentioned using Unique in a casual conversation at the gunshop and he offered the 8 lb jug of Unique to me. I will probably never luck into that good a deal again on powder.

I loved Unique for shotgun, pistol and light rifle loads but the price got so high that I started using other powders. The above price is about what I paid for 231 so if that's true I am going to buy some. I miss the days when on my minimum wage high school job, I could buy reloading supplies and still take my girl to a movie.

If you're looking for 2400, it's on sale at Ballistic Products at the moment for about $48/lb. Link below ...

Re: Unique at Brownells
I think a distributor got some from Alliant and it just happened to get posted quickest at Brownells. It's making it way around the various online sellers now. Even a lot of the 4# cannisters which to me is a more ideal / tolerable (cost wise) size.
