This from a comment on the story - "...The problem with this story is the OC Sheriff Bomb Squad does not use those white vans. The white vans are Orange County government general use vans used to deliver packages to various departments, on election day to bring ballot boxes to the Registrar's office, to move equipment around, etc. The OC Sheriff Bomb Squad has vehicles that clearly say OC Sheriff and Bomb Squad. I retired from the OC Sheriff. A Google image search reveals what the vehicles look like.

I don't know about that county, but the counties near me have very visibly marked 'bomb squad' vehicles, and are NOT 'white vans'.

Of course it's Kalifornia, so they probably have pedal-cars or something more appropriate to their world-view...
