Someone wanted a follow up on my .480 double rifle

I’m a little punch drunk after firing it 42 times but here goes.

The target shows the last four rounds offhand at 50 yards.

I’m definitely sure I cab do better from a rest. 21.5 gr LilGun under a 325 gr XTP bullet. Velocity is 1552 fps

That’s a Skinner case that I’m really happy with.

It’s on a 20 ga frame, I think. Maybe a 28 ga.

I’m not sure about the original manufacturer

Thanks, I've been toying with the idea of a 22 hornet double for years. Just no REASON to do it.

Ouch ! cute little thing with a big mule kick i would imagine

I imagine the recoil is about like my TC Encore with an 18" 45/70 barrel

Recoil is significant but not terrible.

And it hits pretty hard!

That would be fun to play with, there’s just something Classic about a double rifle.

I realize not a rifle , but when I was fooling with the SRH’s in 480 I had very good luck using H110/296 with jacketed and AA1680 with my vast bullets .

Love it! There’s something cool about big bores with small cases.

You should hear these cartridges “thunk!” into the chambers.
