.58 cal mini ball

Can anyone identify these two mini balls recovered from New Market Battlefield years ago . Appear to be two different types.

Thats a union 58 cal mini ball fired from a Springfield musket.
Your bullets appear to be dropped on the battlefield.
There doesn't appear to be any deformity of the rounds.

Both ? they are different types, one is pointed,other is blunt .Grooves are also different.

If you can make out a star shape in the base cavity or series of marks it would be a Federal pressed and turned bullet. There were many versions of the 58 Burton ball in Federal service.
