I first read of this remarkable Englishman in SMITHSONIAN MAGAZINE - September 1993 Issue.

This article is fairly long and VERY worth the read!

Thanks for posting that Jim, I remember hearing about Johnny Hopper a long time ago, quite a guy.

Would have loved to read it -- and I hope the block was wrong (but watch your systems for the next few days!).
