Older style 454 casull Rossi 92

Post by mickbr »

Gents I found one of these going used, the older/original version rossi 92 in 454. Just trying to recall what the potential issues were with these? I remember reading something about bending or shearing maazagine or forearm screws? Were they still generally an ok firearm or bad enough that improvements were vital on the new ones?

If I inspect this firearm is there anything in particular I should be aware of, owner claims to have fired less than 1 box of 454 and 45 colt through it.

Thanks for any thoughts

I saw a few for sale on used gun racks over the years . seems like they all had cracked forearms.
