If you hold with intercessory prayer
This young man could use all he can get -- and so can his heart transplant team. Surgery starts this morning at 7 a.m. CST. I am sure it will be a very long day for all concerned, but pray that it ends in joy.

Prayers up. I sat through the same long day, with my sister, when her husband had a heart transplant.
After the healing was done he walked the AP trail. Now 12 years later he is still going strong. Have faith in God’s to guide the surgeon’s hands.

Prayers are on the way.
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.

The heart is in and beating fine, his grandpa reports! Thanks fellers, and thanks of course to our incomparable Father for his merciful care for this young boy.

Thank You Bill!
Re: If you hold with intercessory prayer
My younger sister lives in Germany and had a double lung transplant in Berlin in 2002. Her life expectancy at the time was thought to be about 5 years but she's still going strong and arrived in NM for a 4 month visit this past weekend. She has had to educate her doctors on her rare condition for the entire time since 2002 since some of them have provided false diagnoses that would have been lethal had they been heeded. Her anti-rejection meds have killed her kidneys and damaged her liver and so she's had more transplants over the years.
Life can still be good after major organ transplants; the success rate with heart transplants is especially good.
Hang in there.

Walt, I have complete faith that anti-rejection meds will continue to get much better and safer with fewer side effects in the near future.
My middle brother has been battling Crohn's for at least two decades, and the immunosuppressant meds are toxic. So far, it has just been treatable/removable skin cancers, but dozens per year.
I believe God's most accessible language is science, in which He lets us understand how it all works -- how He works -- and that He wants us to solve rejection issues, and pretty much defeat all cancers. That's because He loves us.

Latest reports are that once he starts eating more -- and excreting more -- he can go home.

Fellers, I believe you can click on that original link to see the updates -- now on Page 12.
Hudson apparently contracted an astrovirus a couple of days ago, but the antibiotics seem to have worked and they are moving this young man out of ICU!

He looks a little forlorn in one of the pictures, but I bet he's one tough little kid when you get right down to it. He's pretty much had to be.
