Anybody here old enough.....

Post by Ray »

to remember Doctor Larry C. Rogers, m.d. aka the "west virginia hitman" ?

I know rev. T remembers him. Well he is still alive and kicking with nearly 16,000 groundhogs slain and over 2,500 whitetails taken with handguns.

They sure grow some big groundhogs in west virginia or maybe it's just the camera angle !

Will try to post some archived links to the old ssk h.h.i. "sixgunner" newspaper that featured doc's articles (rev. T's as well).

I do believe I met the Doc back in the 90s while I was attending gunsmith school. If I remember correctly he was taking summer classes while I was working out of the tool room and taking a few other classes myself.

Yep them some big whistle pigs!

I never met him but I’m happy to hear that he is keeping the population in check!

He sent us stuff for the old Sixgunner.Com website years ago. Had a section devoted to his stuff. Always enjoyed his reporting on his work. I was happy to find out he was still at a while back.

I remember reading his articles somewhere and even took notes from them. Memory isn't what it used to be. I thought he was from Missouri.

Those big ones do tend to tear up a hay field. And if it's in the pasture and a cow steps in one....

Darn I thought I’d killed a fair amount of deer but this guy has killed 5 1/2 times what I’ve brought to bag  I’d certainly hate to think I had to gut skin and cut up 2500 deer
