Backing tracks.....

Post by Ray »

I recently brought an old cigar box guitar themed post back to the top with these links only to realize that they had nothing to do with cigar box guitars so I deleted the reply.

What they are are karaoke versions of popular tunes recorded onto my cellphone then played and sang/narrative recited along with into the mic. of a tablet for upload. The lyrics are the beloved old hymn "living for JESUS".

j.j. cale's "magnolia".....

j.j. cale's "sensitive kind". You can see the corner of a filipino gat propping-up the hymnal.....

You former hippies will certainly recognize this one.....

A song that hit me right square in the heart last week.
"Lord I've never been this homesick before"

Verse #1
There's a light in the window The table spread in splendor.
Someone standing by the open door. I can see a crystal river and I must be near forever. Lord I've never been this homesick before.

Refrain.
See the bright light shine it's just about home time and I can see the father standing at the door.
This world has been a wilderness,
I'm ready for deliverance and Lord I've never been this homesick before.

Verse#2
I can see the family gather, sweet faces all familiar, no one's old or feeble anymore.
This whole lonesome heart is crying, think I'll spread my wings and start flying Lord I've never been this homesick before.

Refrain.
See the bright light shine it's just about home time and I can see the father standing at the door.
This world has been a wilderness I'm ready for Deliverance and Lord I've never been this homesick before.
10mm, when you care enough to send the very best.
