What is your Sunday-Go-To-Meeting Gun?

Post by JimT »

What do you choose to carry to Church ... or would carry if you went?

My personal choice would be the Star PD or the 1911 or possibly both.

I'm on the Church security team and easily conceal a Ruger LCP. The front left tee pocket eliminates awkward, sitting position draw.

then there is the BBQ open carry category. I like the pearl gripped 1911 the Mexican plain clothes officer was carrying as he walked up to the apartment door. I made certain to be off the block before he knocked. But his nickle and pearl pistol sticks in the gray cell...

I packed a Srar PD for several years. Very compact.
For the last 20 years, it's been a Colt LW Commander.

I carry every week... but that is expected, since I'm the CO of our church's safety team.

Normally I carry a 1911 (a few different iterations, including the high capacity PO's). I've also carried a Hi-Power, and recently the Sig P320.

Here in SC CWP's can't provide security services unless they are licensed through the state's law enforcement department. And one must requalify with each firearm they carry annually.

A reasonably challenging course of fire, which makes it fun! :D
