Ask liberal people what percentage of people in the US are living on minimum wage and then ask them where that puts them relative to the rest of the world.
Typically they will guess that something like 30% of the population makes minimum wage and that they will be in at least the lower third of the world's population as far as poverty.
It turns out that it's approximately 2% of the US population only makes minimum wage, and that still puts them in the top 20% of world income.
