It took a while to sort this ones trigger.
Still a shade to heavy for me but I'm doing ok with it. Probably 2+lbs. I should get one of those trigger weight measuring thingies.
Anyway cured the rocking in the stock by adding pressure points under the barrel and action rear and improved reliability with subsonic ammo by increasing the radius to the bolt rear that cams the hammer back. I never liked how the effort ramped up so much to cock the hammer.
Now it is barely noticeable!
So a field test was needed.
10 squirrels and a nice 70+yard rabbit off hand with out a stove pipe or other malfunction. Success
Might be worth trying the brands it refused to work with again!

All stock except trigger reset plunger spring.

I run mine completely dry apart from trigger group pivot's.

I had one about 30 years ago that ran no matter what. Wet, dry, good ammo, crappy Russian steel case, it didn't matter. Someone talked me out of it around 2010 and I bought a replacement a couple years ago. Picky, needs lube, stiff bolt. The machining of the bolt and inside the receiver are notably rougher than my old one and I've been gradually smoothing things and working the cam radius when I clean it. It's getting there.

I have had several 10/22s over the years and liked them all, although I find my takedown with the threaded barrel is the most fun, and not much less accurate than the others.

I have accurized a couple with heavy barrels. However, my favorite is my96/22 because….

....it's a LEVERGUN.....!!!!

I actually have a couple and I have bequeathd them to my kids. The 96/22 I retained is set up with an integrally suppressed barrel so it’s super quiet and quite accurate with subsonic.
