Although a Rock Island 1911 in 22 TCM is pretty cool though, especially since you can also swap barrels and shoot 9 mm in it.

I've lusted after one of those Rock Island 9mm/22 TCM pistols for a long time.

I would need to hold one of those 5.7 pistols. The Rock Island 22 TCM sounds fun.

I wonder how long it will be before someone offers a 22TCM conversion barrel for Glock 19/23?

Mind, necessitates use of the shorter o.a.l. 9R version of the tcm.

Interesting, looks like a rotating lockup. I've stayed clear of the 5.7 from the standpoint of handloading difficulty. I suspect the Ruger system overworks the brass - not sure, just a hunch. I've been favorably impressed with the M&P already in the conventional chamberings.

If I didn't already have the Ruger 5.7 carbine, I would be looking seriously at the M&P. I have one in 9 and 10mm, both have proven to be excellent shooters and super reliable pistols.
I'll pick up one of the Rugers before too long, I'm sure.

That 22 TCM looks really interesting to me. Wonder how it is to reload??? -Tutt

Dang Doc, your a horrible influence. I'm poor now and can't afford more than finishing up some gunsmithing projects until I go back to work part time. The 22 TCM however looks like a really neat cartridge. I see no reference to it being problematic to reload for (unlike the 5.7 and it has more velocity too), and Alliant even made a powder specifically for it:

I doubt I can get the RIA pistol here in Commiefornia, but will have to look into it. Thanks for posting that. -Tutt
