Flashlight stun thingee

Post by gcs »

So just got one, never fooled with one before. Press the button and get an impressive "sizzle".
So my question is ,does the zapping go through clothing? and how much,? or does it need bare skin for the desired effect?

Don't know anyone willing to be a test subject, and the crappy instructions are no help.

Thanks...

STEP 1 - Hold it against your leg.
STEP 2 - Press the button.

This will give you good empirical evidence of how well it works.
As an aid, you could set up a video camera first and have it running.

Got a meat thermometer with a probe ? Put a towel over the probe and fire away while watching the screen.
My bet is the clothing will insulate the skin enough that the bad guy you are trying to deter would have plenty of time to get ya

Humans greatly vary in their tolerance to direct current. One 5 second zap can put the biggest, meanest on the ground flopping uncontrollably. Another time, 30 seconds or more will just make a 100 lb. lass mad enough to claw your eyeballs.
