Can anyone comment on how this use of a creditcard and code numbers is supposed to work? So many places do not want cash because of the danger of robbery. If a personal check is used is that traceable?

I believe checks are also traced. we use local bank to withdraw cash and pay for anything we don't want traced with cash. as far as personal info, the cell phone is the major tracker. OTOH, when I travel i usually use the card because i don't want to be robbed !! . plus it secures my alibi
