Marlin Glenfield
Are there any differences between a 336 and the Glenfield 30 other that birch stocks and fit an finish? Thanks for any info you can provide....

No. The metal and parts used in the two guns are equal and exact quality. Only the stocks were cheaper on the Glenfields. I used to buy a lot of Glenfields when I had my FFL to sell to relatives and friends who wanted a Marlin 336, but wanted a bargain. They were one of the best bargains around 30 yrs. ago.

I got one around 25 years ago , made in '69 . beat to death , never cleaned . once it got some decent treatment and a bath it's one slick rifle . .
