How much experience do we have here? - POLL added

Post by O.S.O.K. »

I'm being euphamistic - what's our age span on this board?

I'm 47 and usually on the upper side of the age range on gun boards. But I'm thinking this board has more experienced members on average.

I'd create a poll, but either I'm not enabled or that option isn't available...

It seems that when I get to see pics of the members of various shooting forums I'm a member of there is more gray hair than youth. I can't talk about the plastic / black / ebr gun forums, I don't go to them.

I think he mentioned in a recent post that his 82nd birthday was coming up? He was anglin' for one of the new Mossberg lever guns for his birthday I think. I look forward to the range report.

I'm 43. Not sure what that is in dog years.

My age: 57 yrs look like 67 yrs and feel like 77 yrs, today.

I have a 45 yr old wife a 12 yr old son a 14 yr old dog a 14 yr old Jeep a 10 yr old horse. My guns are at least my age or older for the most part but if they are not older than me they sure are close enough to call me brother. :D :D

Well, so was I. :)

There's a Colombian folk song that (translated) says "I also was once 20 years old..." The weird thing is I remember the year my dad turned 29 and he seemed ANCIENT - there was NO WAY I'd ever reach that age - but, thanks to God's grace, I did... and have since passed well beyond it...

If the Lord don't come back before Sept. 9 I will be 70. Most of the time I don't really think of me as being that age but I reckon I am. Never been around anyone very much that old. Reckon old men still enjoy shooting and reloading and talking sixguns and leverguns. Mostly I enjoy being a washed in the Lamb's blood, saved by Grace, born again sinner, also known as a christian and studying my old AV 1611 King James Bible.

Jerry, the further a fellow gets into the autumn of his life, the more real eternity seems, the less this world seems like home and the more precious Jesus becomes. Autumn is my favourite time of year. I may be an old geezer, but I'm still a spring chicken who will be 54 next month. Hope to see the return of my Lord with my own eyes, to be caught up after the dead in Christ have arisen, to meet the Lord.
Kirk: An old geezer who loves the smell of freshly turned earth, old cedar rail fences, wood smoke, a crackling fireplace on a snowy evening, pristine wilderness lakes, the scent of
cedars and a magnificent Whitetail buck framed in the semi-buckhorn sights of a 120-year old Winchester.
