Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
You stinker! Your fleet is bigger than my fleet! That little one on the end sure was a good deal for 30 bucks and some elbow grease……on a small yard it’s perfect, much better than a push mower. My BIL bush hogged the field next to me yesterday with his J.D……same model as yours….…this guy is a good guy but has the IQ of a carrot…….when he got the bush hog the job looked like S…..I told him to get finishing blades for it which he did and now it looks good even though the lowest it will go is about 6-8”…….
I tell ya, everyday is a new adventure even if you stay home all the time…you just have to have something to do and that’s why winters are very hard on me.
After all of the excitement yesterday getting the new Z and a week of mind work getting the best price and talking the salesman into delivering it to me by proxy really wore me out. I went to bed at 2 and got up at 2 today. It’s now almost 2 a.m. and I’m wide awake. S-=t…that mean another long day tomorrow as I’ll probably get to bed at 4 and get up at 2 again.
The woman on You Tube, “Chickanic” is a very knowledgeable small engine mechanic and is probably pizzing off repair shops with her tricks that cost nothing and are an easy fix where repair shops will charge you $75 to fix.

I've noticed that too! I hate having to think. Probably cause I'm not very good at it. I hate stress too. I don't know what it is other than aging maybe. I notice it working on stuff. It seems harder now. I can't see anymore. I have to wear reading glasses and then sweat drips in them. It's hard to crawl around and lay under stuff on the garage floor now. Everything just seems harder. And I'm in pretty good shape for my age. No meds, not overweight, no real health issues. Guess I'm just a wussy.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
You guys have more equipment than I had access to back in 1965 when I was a full time groundsman at the Warwickshire County Cricket ground....
Between my weedwacker and my son's push mower our little plots are all we need I'm glad I didn't move into the lodge house that I was offered or I would be asking your advice on what to spend my money on concerning garden tractors.
The landlord has gagrdeners with all sorts of fancy toys even some of the woodland rides are mowed every week for the townie visitors that come here on vacation.
Where I was a gamekeeper I had to mow the lawns and one of the gamekeepers before me didn't like mowing so the lady of the house decided to show him how to do it and drove the mower into the moat .

That's what I need! A friggen moat! I know Six would like one too. He could make one. He has that pond, and with backhoe for his tractor, he could dig one from the pond.

I do have a moat…it’s just in a different form…….digital and booby traps that can or cannot kill……hey! what are they going to do to an old man, put him in jail for a year or two……..maybe make me cut grass in England where I can team & scheme with GK?
Jay…..your thinking is on par……pretty much exactly like mine…..it’s because when your younger you have to think in order to survive and gain the stuff you want in life…..as we get all these things we get laid back into enjoying the fruits of our labor……most everything we did for pleasure becomes “old hat” and taking on new adventures requires thinking along with more expenditures…..
You become less afraid of death as you age…….been there…done that….who gives a F?
Observe ……I’ve seen old people just sitting at a window looking outside and they were content. It’s all quite a dramatic change in your life as people were not supposed to live much past 40-45.
It’s why I buy new toys that don’t make sense…..adds a bit of excitement and confirms my accomplishments sacrificing other stuff in order to have an easy retirement…..we don’t go anyway and drive old cars, stopped buying guns so why can’t I S away money whenever I feel like it……if I don’t spend it, other people will.—-00
PS……think I’ll mow the back pasture with a shiny new Z……F ‘em all if they “talk”…….

Yeah, I'm sure that's it. I ain't giving up though. I still get as much enjoyment from riding motorcycles, my Jeep, and messing with guns as I did when I was a kid. When I don't, I'll stop.
Hey! Nice little .25 Colt! Can I have it?
Have fun with your new toy buddy.
I gotta go to work.
I'm thinking that Gladiator would be hard to manuver in tight spots. If you had the rear locked it'd never turn. Straight line traction is probably impressive though.

Have fun at work and catch up on your rest from the physical drain from your fun activities throughout the week…….FOUR hours ago I told mom about cutting the back pasture and here I am, still playing on my IPad…..
Kamala Harris wants to give $25,000 of OUR money to first time homeowners. Can’t see it passing through Congress though but the communistic thought is there.

Haha it just gets more absurd every day. That's why I just tune it out. It don't matter anyway. The whole thing is going down the crapper.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Yea buddy, me and mom have never been so distressed at the direction this country is going. What I don’t understand is most people are going along with the program and not protesting. I bet your mom and dad are very perplexed……..tomorrow is another day….susposed to rain all weekend……
Got to get the 1890 pump sighted in perfectly tomorrow…….coyotes are showing up around here. Two nights ago the foxes were fighting like crazy with something…….they were barking and they had this weird screech……..maybe I’ll use the 10-22 that’s scoped with a somewhat new Leupold and a binary trigger…….ya know, I’m officially old now at 70 and I’ll need those extra rounds with the Ruger.
Get some rest…. . —-00

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
An 1890? For coyotes? Crank up the M4 bro. Rain some wrath down upon em!
Yeah, my folks still sit and watch Fox news. I keep telling them to shut it off. It's a waste of time. I DID convince them several years ago to get rid of the paper. That was a big win right there.

I have to be careful what I post regarding the current state of affairs. As in my country the new socialist PM is telling the police to arrest anyone who shows dissent... never in my 75 years did I believe that the UK would ever become a Dictatorship but it seems like that is what is happening.
RIP.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Yea…….you know Jay…I’ve become paranoid about shooting around here. These recent “move in’s” will extract every cent from you if a bullet enters anywhere on their property. For decades I’ve never had a problem as I know where my bullets are going but there’s a chance a sliver of a jacket will be found on the bottom of their pool and they will have a “story” that’s make me look like a reckless hillbilly with a “weapon of war” and I’ll have to transfer the title of the house over to them……..it’s coming your way, maybe not in your lifetime but it will. I’ll use the 1890 with standard velocity.
On GK and the mighty U.K…….the English have a short memory……the blitz from the Nazi’s and the tremendous sacrifice of English human life and property with Winston Churchill spearheading the defense and what do the English do after the war? They reward Winston by not voting for him……the Muslims are doing the same thing to England, but slowly. Once they get into power history will repeat itself.
It’s no different here with the push to make faggots and nature’s freaks number 1. IT ACTUALLY TOOK A SUPREME COURT DECISION TO KEEP MALES FROM GIRLS SPORTS…….and the vote was 5-4….huh? Why did it even get this far?
The news? Anymore just the highlights as we have to stay somewhat on what’s going on.——-now, are you beginning to understand my reclusiveness…….—-00

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Jay,
YOU can hack on me all you want, you can call me anything, you can smear me up and down, not matter how you condescend me, even if it’s true………… I’ll laugh and mean that laugh…
Not many people can get away with that. I was in Home Depot last week and some guy came up to me and said, “your shoe lace is untied”. I grabbed a sledgehammer and beat that guy to a pulp. He said, “I was only trying to help you”….so I hit him in the head with a 10 pound splitting maul 7 times, one for each day of the week……………….I never was like that….for real, when people do a good deed to me I try to reward them…….the guy who sold me the Kubota? I gave the driver a Jackson and said to give it to Josh, the salesman. After BS en with the driver and how redneck he was, I slipped him a Jackson also……I figured he was gonna steal the salesman’s tip so this way it had a chance to get to him.
Rain rain rain….puts a major damper on my attitude……
I got some pics to show you but I have not taken them yet…..mom got me a full set of those weird screwdrivers for adjusting any make carburetor on 2 stroke engine aaaannnnnddddd a high falutin endoscope…….(one of those things you can look inside of something but it’ll take me a month to figure it out. I’m pretty much worthless unless it has a nut and bolt on it.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Oh man! My leaf blower uses those I think!
The jets don't have a slot, just a little knurled section. And they are recessed into a pocket in the carb housing so you can't get at em. If there's a big swing in temperature or humidity, sometimes I have to adjust the high speed jet a little. Being a hick, instead of getting the proper tool, I pulled the carb and ground off the little walls around the jets from the housing. Presto! Easy adjustments now!

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Here’s that kit Jay…..the instructions say there is a tool for every brand of 2 stroke engine made….yea, those adjustments are buried down a shaft. There’s 14 tools in the kit….its the “deluxe version” which is about $5 more…whoooopppieee…five bucks.
The coil thingy is the endoscope. I’m learning it as I write this…..easy, take a picture of the little square in the manual and it takes you to get an app. I am REALLY computer stupid so I guess I’ll have it all figured out by morning………..mom is sitting next to me and I told her to “get ready” as we is gonna have some fun with “inspecting”. They claim it can see crabs walking around the hair follicles…..we will see…

No! I may be sassy but I’m not a weirdo. Besides, I don’t have any brown removal wash.
Oh well, fun’s over for today….tomorrow it’s supposed to be all rain…..you know the old saying, “idle time is the devils workshop”
This inspection camera is a cheapie but it’s good enough for my needs like finding stuff under the dashboard or other areas that you can’t see.its one of those things you use 1,000 times the first week you have it and then throw it in the junk pile.
I did stick it in my nose and Lordy, despite me having and using a hair removal tool it was nasty…hair, boogies and other things I didn’t know were in a nose. You believe this S…70 years old and my mind is 14.
Tomorrow dude—-00

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
I tell ya GK……it’s fun and games everyday……..the poor guy did have a good excuse though with the hearing problems……..you see that picture I put on of my ear? That’s my left ear that has Meniers disease…it’s deaf totally now but when I was going through vertigo attacks the fluid was building up behind the eardrum (that membrane in the pic) and cause all kinds of havoc with the inner ear….had I known that at the time I would have just just an ice pick in my ear to let the fluid out…….
Funny thing, first thing when I woke up that came to mind was what Jay said last night……and let me tell you, as being a warehouse worker talking to lots of people and truck drivers from around the country I thought I heard every joke ever made but I never heard the one Jay said, “crab grass”….I can picture it now, Jay and his buddies driving through Cornville with his friends remarking upon seeing a girl walking down the road or sitting on the porch, “ yea, you know she has crab grass, more there than what’s in the yard”
I showed mom your post on the guy with the bud in his ear and she said, “Tony (her nephew) had an eraser stuck in his ear from when he was little to age 14.” This kid was always a little dopey and somewhat slow….i called him a slug and at in his late fifties, still is. His wife does everything from cooking and cleaning to having a full time job while he sits back in his easy chair and watches sports.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Hey GK, thay happened to my middle kid when he was in HS. He knew it was there though. It was in there so far I couldn't get it. Off to outpatient......
Haha I hadn't heard it either Six. Just kinda popped in my head (it's a scary place).
The guy sounds like a genius to me!
Of course, not the "watching sports" part. That's the dumbest thing someone could do with their time. Unless it's shooting or motorcycles.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
For real……”crab grass” is funnier than heck……you just have to picture some scabby bar hound with her bar fly boyfriend sitting at the bar in west Athens or Chester, pa……big ‘ole nasty 300 pounder with a bush that’s bigger than a dump truck with all kinds of stuff running around in it…crab grass…you win bro.
I got aggravation…..ya know that deluxe $21 tool kit I got for adjusting every make and model of carburetor? I got to playing with it and now it’s worse than the hygiene of that bar hound…….gonna take it back tomorrow and let them do it……it just didn’t have high end rpm’s …I turned the high screw in a half turn…nothing, than another half and it went to hell and shut off so I turned it back out 1 turn and it runs but crappy……..I’ll let them do it as I’m not good with stuff like that……I can buy em, that’s fun……I just never had an issue with any STIHL from the factory…2 saws, blower…run the heck out of them…oh well.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Is this on your brush saw? Mine doesn't turn up near as high as my old one. I think that's just how they are made. Mine is a little rich at WOT. It has a little burble, but I'm going to wait cause I think its from the humidity. My leaf blower does the same thing. I find humidity really raises hell with 2 strokes.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Weed whacker…..no, this is not normal. Rpm’s are supposed to be around 10,000 at top end with a smooth sound……my blower and the 2 chain saws wind out beautifully. It almost sounds like it’s breaking up and missing but it’s not……those people at Brandywine hardware are great to deal with and as expected, I know them all, mostly by just a first name. The manager, Alex, sold it to me and he’s on most of those commercials for ACE hardware…….i asked him last week if he gets residuals as he’s on TV 10 times a night….he laughed and said, “I wish”
When I buy stuff like that, that could have issues down the line, I stay away from box stores because their service is terrible. I’ll walk in Brandywine…..explain…and I’ll be out in 15 minutes as they also have a repair shop next to it. After they get it running good, there’s a patch of crab grass they will try it out on and those little suckers will fly around and latch on your clothes and make their way down to your personal crab grass. Then I have to stop at the drug store and get the blue ointment.
One time I had the crabs so bad I went to the movie theatre and got a box of pretzels. After watching the movie and eating the pretzels I sprinkled the salt from the box “down there”. The crabs ate the salt and got thirsty and when they got up to get a drink of water in the rest room I just moved to a different seat. A young couple on a date sat down where I was.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
You want to hear somethin’ funny? Well, your gonna hear it anyway..
That boy of mine camps out more than he works. He’s got that special thing he puts on top of his Jeep and him and his girlfriend travels all, over Colorado and Utah, sometimes Nevada and Wyoming…….so, he calls tonight and he was on top of the Jeep somewhere camping in Colorado and he hears commotion on the ground…..he grabs something, probably his Glock 45 Auto (just guessing) shines the light and there’s a bear on the ground wrestling with his cooler.
He’s always careful about leaving food around and all of that good S that goes along with it. Like his dad, he always buys the best of everything and this cooler (BIGGIE) is advertised as bearproof and I think it’s part of the brand name, “bearproof”. He’s got the light on the bear and the bear rips the cooler to shreads. As he was in no danger he waited until the bear hauled off what the bear wanted to eat and went back to sleep. He said he didn’t give a F about the cooler as he will get another for free but was worried about his Jeep getting chewed up but the bear left and they had to return to town to get something to eat.
He said in the beginning he wasn’t worried about bears because just as he entered into the National Forest he came to a fork in the road and there was a sign, “Bear Left” (I made that last part up) —00

Man! I'd o been pretty ticked off about my cooler. Especially if my beer was in it.
Those roof top tents are neat. We thought about doing that with the Gladiator but how do you get a 90lb dog up there?

Thanks buddy. Old Gramp is pretty tickled to see this kid ride so well.
Thats an awesome picture! The golden age!
Kristy and I bought him a bicycle and he completely wore it out in a season. My boy bought a new one this year. It's a quality unit from a bike shop. The back tire and chain are worn out now. He takes it to school every day and rides every minute he is outside. My boy told me the faculty can't get over how he can thrash that bike at 6 years old. The kid is a rider.

Wow! Ain’t that somethin’! At my age, that picture scares me………that boy has no fear and they claim, the ones who start when they are young along with the passion to ride become the best. I read somewhere that Evil Knievel was riding a full dresser Harley when he was 5 years old with special controls. Yea, that boy has a passion for riding the same way I had it for guns at a very early age…..he will do well.
I’d be lucky to ride a wheelchair these days….

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Yup, 100%. The younger they are the better. There is definitely a difference if there is natural ability, and the kid has it in spades. It runs in the family, and I was the same way.
It's like I told someone. There are those kids who have a bicycle to ride up the street as transportation. Then there are the kids who want to see if they can go all the way up the street or the back wheel. It's not about "transportation" ,it's about RIDING. As soon as I saw that kid on his bike with training wheels, I knew.
He got stuck with his back wheel over a hole and the training wheels on either side holding his drive wheel up. I walked over and told him the training wheels were the cause, and without them he could go through whatever hole he wanted. He got off and studied it, and when he saw it he hollered, "Dad! Take these training wheels off!"
He was off and going.
I had the knack when I was a kid, and I spotted it right away in my grandson. His dad is a good rider too, but not on the level this kid is going to be, unless I'm mistaken.
You can see in the picture I posted above, and the bottom one here. It's earlier in the day. The top picture here is later. He isn't just riding over the jump. He is up, knees bent, head over the bars. This is the correct body position for this situation. He actually has FORM. This tells me he understands what he is doing.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Yes…a natural rider who knows balance, speed and power and what to do in each situation……..your right, some people “have it” and most people “don’t”….. there ain’t much I have natural except shooting. My dad was amazed when I was around 7 or 8 at most how I handled his M-1 carbine. But I still have to “work at it” and focus……at the matches upstate where most of the best countries shooters are (several are National champs at silhouette and many are master rated)..….I never could get past AAA…
Still scares me though with your grandson…..you worry that he might become overconfident and get hurt……yea, you and I both know people with one leg or are 6’ down. One guy at work went to get his lunch at lunchtime and never came back. We were wondering where Charlie Jones was…..naturally I said he probably stopped at the bar and decided to stay…..they buried him in about 7 pieces….
Jay…I had a hell of a day…took the trimmer back and the guy told me (get ready) that you cannot adjust the carb. as it needs to hooked up to a computer…..I was wondering why none of those tools fit perfect…..I just shut my mouth about me turning anything and he said they have to send it back to STIHL and he couldn’t give me a new one as the one I bought was the last one until the end of the week……he then hands me a FS111R and says, “I know you like powerful stuff and this one will cut down a tree at idle. Well, I slipped him a C note and walked out the door with it.
Got home, gassed it up and went out back to test it. I was trimming by the pond, lost my footing and fell in the pond with the trimmer. It shut off instantly and would not restart….so back to the garage to blow it out and she fired up. It did cool me down a bit.(the pond) only up to my waist….
Then I stopped at Tommy’s and took some pics….later on that.—-00

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Here’s 100K or more worth of Colt…..gold star letter from Kopec…1890….. the only one better would be 98%
One of 4 racks of unfired WW2 45 auto’s from different manufactures. Several have the original box.
We all know a junky Singer 1911 will bring $35,000…..very nice ones, if you can find one bring well over a 100. This is the prototype, first one made by Singer…..was never finished…..

Holy smokes buddy! Thanks for the pics. Absolutely beautiful. That SAA and thise 1911s just blow my mind. Nothin like that up here.
Wow! Hope you ain't hurt buddy. That sucks when something like that happens. I hate getting wet. Nice! A bigger trimmer! Way to go bro!
Haha yeah I get it. But every day is a gamble. When you look around and see all these namby pamby people, afraid of everything, can't do anything for themselves....
Those are the ones who were "kept safe". No tackle football, everyone got a trophy. No toy guns, climbing trees, or anything else. Certainly no guns or dirtbikes.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
That’s funny…..always playing it safe…….im really surprised I’m still alive after all of the stupid stuff we did as kids….and with me, it continued right on into adulthood.
Nobody had a motorcycle though until we were around 14-15…..wasn’t no money for that.
Yea, that stuff my bud has is amazing. He has other racks full of like new Lugers, some with snail drums in fitted cases…..well, he worked for it…I guess he did.. some years back he had all of these Nazi knives, one was a presentation from Donitz to a U boat captain….i got no idea how he finds this stuff…he’s in the big leagues and don’t tell me much.
Oh well, back to the garage tomorrow to fix stuff.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Wow! I have a Luftwaffe dress dagger, a medics tool, mint helmet with both decals, and a few k98 bayonets. I have a stopwatch with a nazi eagle and swastika. Nothing real special but it was all picked up by relatives.
Yeah, I was about 10 or 11 before I got my first dirt bike. We were nuts when we were kids. I could ride a bicycle backwards by the time I was 10. Ride wheelie as far as I wanted to. I rode a motorcycle backwards for the 1st time at about 15. Never did motocross. I was more of an Enduro, tree bangin' type rider.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
How do you ride a bicycle or motorcycle backwards…..what do you do, switch the sprockets somehow or just go up a hill and glide down backwards.
That brought back a memory that’s at least 60 years old……..funny how everything you ever did is locked away until something triggers it….anyway, this one kid had a setup on the family garage where he would take his bike up the ladder and ride off the roof and down a pile of dirt……details very very fuzzy….
They have the road closed off here…complete shutdown…zero traffic…..there’s only six houses it affects. I went out there and low and behold, a friend of moms family is the supervisor and he gave me the lowdown——making it wider——-then they will bring in a grinding machine that grinds up the old road and all new stuff being put down and guess who is going to be the recipient of the first two loads of ground macadam?……..yea, I fall into this stuff….perfect for the area by the pond……I was going to have a tri axle of stone brought in but it’s like $400……this S is free…free baby free!
Mom said last night she wanted to go here and there tomorrow……I reluctantly said, “OK”……when I came back into the house I told her the road supervisor said no one can enter or leave unless it’s an emergency……I lied and I get to stay home……

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Wow! Next time you're there, pick out a nice example 9f each and stick em in your coat for me! Thanks buddy!
No, no.
The bike doesn't go backwards, you are backwards on it. The hardest thing is on a motorcycle, cause if you panic, you tend to open the throttle up. It's in the opposite hand and twists to opposite way when you're on the bike that way.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
No no no…that S ain’t for me. My T’s are not that big…..you guys up there must eat special food. I do remember kids riding wheelies non stop and it’s common with motorcycles doing that around here….too much can happen and I’ve got the scars and broken bones for proof. At my age, the most excitement I get anymore is watching the grass grow so I can rush out and cut it.
All that high dollar collector stuff don’t interest me anymore. I’ve always looked at 90% of them as investments for retirement and that’s where I am now, old and retired…..but……..I do get to watch the grass grow!

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Just in case you don’t know, if you will be in the market for a saw or a trimmer soon or even in a couple of years, now is the time to buy before this electronic/computer S makes it up your way. In this short video, it’s all true, instant response and power but the engine will not reach top rpm’s like the ones we’ve been using for 50 years……
I gave the trimmer one heck of a workout today and it works great with all kinds of power but the engine does not whine out. Bothers me.
I said before that the worlds best small engine expert told me to mix all small engines that require 50-1 to 40-1 because if you happen to run them hard on a hot day, you will burn them up…it’s this EPA S. If and when something goes wrong you will not be able to tune it except for the idle.
Repair shops don’t have what it takes to tune them…eventually they will but like car repair shops that charge you $100 just to hook up to the computer, small engine shops will be doing the same.
I got on some message boards about this and it relatively unknown by most people. F.I., when I want something to give me 11,000 rpm’s I want it, not 8,000.
Or maybe it’s not worth knowing about it, especially at my age.—-00
This 2 minute video from Srihl explains it.

Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
Thanks Six that video is extremely sad though I have always been able to get a two stroke up and running but it looks like the future will mean expensive repairs back at the dealership. I'm just glad I bought my brush cutter before it got computerized.
I gave mine a good workout today on stinging nettles between my fence and the barbed wire fence that keeps the beef cattle from knocking my fence down. Before I got around to raking up the nettles the cattle came down and helped me out by eating them..
