One of the reasons I like leverguns is the ability to put a 350 grain bullet through a piece of electronic stuff and 'let the smoke out'. . .

Any TrailCams that are actually RELIABLE...???
I'd really like the 'cellular' type, but the Moultrie I tried just quit working after six months, and the reviews on the WildGame Innovations ones pretty much suck.

350 grains- I'm not sure ya need that much... I once killed a perfect TV with a 22 stinger- im just saying
I dont use trailcams, I refuse to spend hard earned denerio for something that'll get stolen, chewed by a bear or just not work! Besides the fact I don't want to know what is walking by , I just shoot what comes along.

Hey Doc.
Based on a tip from my brother, I've had really good luck with the "Primos Proof Gen 2" game cameras -- about $60 each online -- very clear and sharp images, with long battery life, even when left out in the woods for weeks at a time. They take nice day or night images (see below) and they're easy to set up. They can do video too.
"No big bucks" on those images, but they show you what's possible... Date, time and temp all recorded on the images.

my moultrie took a biden recently. electronics are not meant to last forever, nothing like mechanical contraptions. easier to fix, only problem is finding replacement parts after 150 years have gone by.

Ha! I used to have a Moultrie -- it would take hundreds of photos of NOTHING! A squirrel would fanny burp off camera, and I'd get a dozen images of trees...
I've not had that issue with the Primos cameras, as there's very few false-triggered images.

Heck, I just settle for one that actually would turn on when you flip the switch. I guess I’m just old and cantankerous enough to think that most things electronic are just a few seconds short of needing a bullet to fix them.
