Please post political post in the new Politics forum.
I have found out that, apparently, Google Chrome and Foxfire have found a way to access the photos that Photobucket.com does not now allow you to post to 3rd party sites anymore, without paying a high price.
Viable, provided former/current PhotoBucket users haven't deleted all their albums/pics, the Google Chrome and Firefox browsers now have an extension called "Photobucket Embed Fix", that will allow the display of 3rd party hosted images, an end-around PB's new demands.
It will fix all your broken pics - no need for you to do anything, it runs entirely in the background.
To Install:
Click on Tools > Add-Ons (Or press CTL+Shift+A) > select "Extensions" > enter "photobucket embed" in the Search box (upper right corner) > then click the install button.
Actually, AJ, IMO sooner or later most (if not all) of the currently free pic-hosting website will soon be following PB's lead.
My hope is that I can figure out (I never even tried) how I can get the pic on my 'puter to propagate directly (no 3rd party) on the forum(s) W/o doing the attachment two-step.
So that "fix" will only work on your computer. MAYBE it will work on the computer of anyone else who's done it. Which means for all intents and purposes, it doesn't work.

You'd have to turn your computer into a server, your ISP won't like that. Cheaper and easier to pay $2 a month to someone.
a) it works reliably (PhotoSuckit didn't),
b) it works quickly (PhotoSuckit didn't),
c) it doesn't crash (PhotoSuckit did), and
d) it allows moving of files without disrupting previous links to it (PhotoSuckit didn't).
Alas, none of the sites seem to do the latter, even though such an indexing system is a fairly simple algorithm (figured one out on my own in the 1980's and wrote it in TurboPascal and 8088-processor assembly language on a Shareware program I wrote and distributed, so it can't be that hard).

UNLIMITED 3rd party hosting made easy, effective, and safe.
I didn't mind the 'banner ads', and would consider paying to bypass them.......however........I would ONLY consider PAYING for their 'service' - IF I didn't continually get stalled-screens, and THIS kind of nonsense....

Some of my old posts are a mess from this having done them pre-site upload capability. I've pulled my material from Photobucket now and might go fix them at some point. $399 is just crazy ... I think they are not long for this world.
