This is the 2nd US Treasury Check I got this year for one cent, from the VA.

I wonder how many of our tax dollars it took to process/cut it.

I thought they stopped issuing paper checks. I haven't gotten a paper check in years, and I get a 10% deposit every month...

Yeah, but just like with 'education' 'social security' 'health care' 'medicare' and so on....too many recipients panic that they will no longer be allowed to have their snout at the government trough, so the political opposition would be insurmountable.

I'd take that "loss" of that $52K the "beneficent" malefactors in DC granted me for the lifetime injury obtained in "Their Swampship's" Service.

Last month Social Security told my oldest son that somehow they over paid him and he received a three dollar deposit for the month. Each check has always been the exact same amount. I told him to call and tell them that for that month that he was feeling like an oppressed black man and that they may really overpay him to make up for the servicing that he just got.
So much for paying the bills last month.
