I hear ya. He's been pestering me for this Great Western for a couple of years. I sold it to "The Gunny" and then "The Gunny" decided recently to "thin the herd" and it's back. This gun was made in the fifties and is a very near copy of the old Remington. Still looks pretty much to being new.

Funny thing, last weekend when "The Gunny" handed it to me, (at Ridgway Rifle Club) I immediately pulled the hammer back and shot the two rounds that were in it at "The Gunny's" feet, making him"dance". :D (Not really, nobody shoots at the feet of a career Marine D.I.) I shot at the tires of his new $60,000 Ford diesel truck.-----------6

I'm thinking with a barrel that short Six would have been lucky to hit the truck!

Griff,
I hear ya. When the paperwork arrives I'll ship it through Targetmaster. ------Me

Jazzman, It does hit high....I believe most derringers do. That's why I aimed about 6" into the dirt, perpendicular to the tire. I was afraid of hitting the rim and doing no damage but a little lead smear. I got the tire real good...right in the sidewall where it can't be repaired. "The Gunny" told me those tires are extra heavyweight for pulling his 5th wheel camper and are about $350. Ahhhhh....he will get over it. :D
