32 Special meets deer

Post by Marlin32 »

Sat in same stand I have hunted since '79, Small buck happened by and met up with 170grain Speer bullet from my 24" barreled Marlin 336A in 32 special. Didn't turn out so well for mr. Buck. Lungs came out in pieces, hole in the heart. 35 yard shot. So I get no difficulty points, but I have shot quite a few deer with same set up and every result has been the same.

:? . . . I didn't think you could kill a buck with any cartridge that wasn't a Magnum of some sort. . . preferably Belted.

Cool and congrats !

Dunno why but I've always liked the 32 Special more then the 30-30 . No real difference as most are well aware , just me I suppose . Of course it might be related to the fact that I ALWAYS liked the 32-40 , so being 32 cal it all makes sense .

"A 32 gun just for fun" seems like I have heard that said or sung before.
