Alan Harton of Single Action Service can do it.

From the Ruger forum: .22 Bearcats converted to .32 H&R mag

Here's an article on Gunblast on some of his restoration work.

One of the Gentlemen at the hog hunt in February had a revolver that Hamilton Bowen had done the work on. Beautiful work. If all of his revolvers are that good, then the man is an artist as well as an excellent pistolsmith.

My best answer is to send it to a compitent gunsmith that you trust! I seriously doubt you will find one that will give you an in depth answer on how it is done. Its a skill and an art and it is how they earn their living.

........or, you could buy a single six in 32 mag cal,.....

Linebaugh did a nice 5 shooter 357 mag on a 32 mag single six once. I wish Ruger would do one, a 5 shooter in 38 spl anyway.

When Dave Clements did mine (I don't know if he does them any longer) it was with a bushing/insert type affair.

one guy wanted to see if he could do this himself. no one could answer his question. i think a man with a drillpress, hacksaw, and a file is not going to get this done. . it is interesting to see what is involved. how someone else did it would be instering..

"i think a man with a drillpress, hacksaw, and a file is not going to get this done."

I'm sure you are right, but with what machinery costs these days there are plenty of garage guys with the toolwithall to do it. As an example I paid last spring about 200 bucks for a South Bend 9" toolroom lathe. Back when I started out in the early 80s, I paid probably more than that in current dollars for a Taiwan drillpress. These are the good old days!

Currently one of the machinist mags is running a series on line boring revolvers. One thing that stood out to me was that it requires quite a lot of jigs that these days can just be ordered from a catalog. And that used to be a top end sort of alteration. So I'm sure if the info was shared a lot of guys could do it.
