Yesterday's specials

Post by plowboy 45 »

My knife making friend called yesterday with a deal, Dillon progressive press, 223, 40, 10mm, 45 LC, 357/38, 2 powder measures, die plate stands, scale, shell holders, RCBS rockchucker press unused, with cover
Haven't checked what model the Dillon is, gonna have to learn how to use it
The Dillon has a neat stand type mounting system, 3 gunsmith books also
Got it all for 350, now I call that a good deal, and one I'm proud to have made

Now what I'm just as proud of is the bench it's all sitting on, it was given to me yesterday evening also
It came out of the little church I was raised in, the pew my great grandmother sat on opposite the amen pews, cause wemon don't say nothin in church, my great granddaddy, and his FIL my great great granddaddy built the pews from sawmill strips, the amen and opposite pews were tounge and grooved, for a more comfortable sermon

The reloading equ, a man in NO, LA that survived Katrina, said when he was packed to leave before the storm, looked and all he had in his car was guns lots of them with no more room, all these years later he's decided to get rid of a bunch of them, and a lot of the extras

Do y'all recognize the Dillon, as to what model it is
He's suppose to let me know what he's got left in 45 LC

On the Dillon, I am thinking it's a 550 but not sure. Dillon has a web site, maybe you can tell by looking there.
The RCBS Rockchuckker is worth half of what you paid.

Better hide out for a while until the heat blows over. The cops might be looking for you.

The 550B is a great set-up, your's even has the roller handle which is an add-on @ $45.95 to the press price of $439.95 which includes one interchangeable tool head assembly. The conversion kits are $45.95 each and the dies, (Dillon) vary with caliber and whether carbide or not. The extra powder measure in $76.95. Yeah, you stole it.

Thanks fellers, I was perty sure I had got a good deal

Think I'll go take a pic of the little church, and the historical marker 2mar
It'll take some of you older fellers back to childhood memories, when things were a whole lot simpler, dinner on tha ground, standing room only on Sunday, imagine that,

There's a story of when they took the wood shingles off and put tin on it
Some of the men were throwing the wood shingles down, another was splitting them for kindling, as they were heart pine, every now and then the splitter would throw one way down the hill, my granddaddy ask him what you throwin them down the hill for, he replied, they was one of ol so n so prayers hung up in them
