Good day at the range

Post by jnyork »

My wife and I have a little place in the mountains at the very southern tip of the Wind River Range in Wyoming, about 3 miles from Atlantic City. I have a range set up in the aspen patch, it's 100 meters long and about 8 feet wide. We invited a couple of friends up a few mornings ago, we shot some benchrest, 20 shots at 50 meters and 20 at 100. Between the 4 of us we only dropped 8 points total, had a nice picnic lunch later. Here's some pix our friend took:

My Lovely Bride just shot a 200-16x at 50 meters:

Lovely Bride and I are in our 70's, our one friend is 85 and his son is over 60 somewhere. We are blessed at our ages to be able to get out and do things like this, just wanted to share the joy here. Best Regards to all. Jerry

That is beautiful, Aspen trees are amoung my favorite, that range is nicely done. Mine was not nearly so much work:410 yards with a bench hogging the shade of a solitary big mesquite, hot and windy, yours is a paradise in comparison. Well done!

Nice day and setup. Almost looks like the woods in Northern MN.
