I take it, you like trains? Jr., great pics... have sometimes wondered what it looked like out your "office" windows, seems like there's much less traffic than out mine!

Hey Jr, you ever make the old run from Minturn to Leadville? I have pictures of the last train over that route, 98-99 maybe?

You're a lucky guy. That's one of my favorite parts of God's green earth. And you get to see it from angles that are not seen from the highway. Thanks for sharing.

Thats my son!! I am very proud of this young man! Very nice pics dude! That was like taking a tour through some of the best country this great nation has to offer. You made a very wise decision getting away from the East Coast toilet. Plus............yo daddy has a very cool place to visit. BTW, I have a prize for you for being a very good man---------I will give you a hint...the last two numbers of the model number end with "86"--------------Yo Pappa
Trains are all different weights and lenghts. Coal load averages 105 to 115 cars at 14,000 to 18,000 thousand tons and 5800 to 6700 feet long. Freight can be alot less then that, average on our sub is 60 cars, 4000 feet and 6000 tons. Each locomotive weighs about 400,000 pounds.
I do have a GREAT office, but getting up at midnight gets old. We work weekends, holidays and run around the clock(24/7). It's a hard lifestyle, but it pays the bills. The railroad gives my family (not me)a pretty good life.
Railroading gets in your blood and it's hard to give up.
YO POPS,What about this 86?
Your office has spectacular views our your windows.

Very nice office pictures, I am sorry I missed them first time around. The only thing IMO that would make it any better would be steam power but since it has been gone for almost 60-70 years now I wouldn't mind second best.
Can't be. No watch and chain. No bib overalls. No engineer's cap.
The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....
