PAY IT FORWARD

Post by victor »

I found this idea at another forum and thought it was pretty cool.
You post an item(s) you no longer need, want, use or is collecting dust.
If a member can USE the item listed he can claim "dibs" and PM you with
shipping info. The member offering the item is responsible for shipping it.There is no money transaction. The member claiming "dibs" MUST offer an item back to the membership in their "dibs" thread .For each item claimed there must be an item offered. This idea is at moderators discretion.thanks

I'll start.

1. 100 pcs. of used nickel plated .357mag brass,good cond.Mtnfolk75

2. one used pachmeyer presentation grip for Ruger Super Blackhawk
pay it forward

I 'll say dibs on your brass, don't need the grip though.

My pay it forward is:

1) One used Pachmayr Gripper for an N Frame Smith

2) Replaced with 5.56 Nato brass due to no interest in the 30-06 stuff,
Brass NOW GONE.... Claimed by JB

Thanks,

1) Remington model 12 magazine band.

Probably not much call for one, but I needed one and got two. So if anyone out here could use the other...

Victor, this is a good idea, like you said on another forum...
Here is a copy of the rules they use...

I don't know if you have ever saw the movie Pay it forward but in my mind this forum is based on that. If you do a good deed for someone they in return must do the same. If you have something that you no longer want and would rather give it away than throw it in the trash this is the place. You can offer it up here. Say you have a box of 243 100 grain bullets that you no longer have a rifle to shoot them and you just want to get rid of them. This would be the place but in return the first person that says I will take it ( YOU MUST POST THIS ON THE FORUM NO PM'S WILL BE ACCEPTED THIS WAY WE HAVE A TIME STAMP ) must also give something away. The person that says I will take it Has a week to offer something up on the forum in return. The person receiving the item is responsible for all shipping costs. If after a week you do not offer up an item to give away you will no longer be able to receive another item from the forum. This is a one strike you are out deal. I say this because I can see some people trying to take advantage of others good will. There will be no exceptions on this. At this time we can not give away any firearms or ammo as per GB'S rules. We can offer up brass and bullets. No gun powder or primers will be allowed. Any gun powder, primers or firearms posted will be removed. Good luck and do a good deed.

Rusty - remember, you can ship as much stuff as you want (up to 70lbs) in a USPS Flat rate box for $9-$13.

I'm shipping out 2, 50# boxes of lead to WA today. Will cost me $18.

Cool idea - should be a 'sticky' - next weekend I'll have to rummage through my stuff; I'm always trying to figure out where to store odds and ends I'll probably never use, but since they are 'useful' (albeit not to me) I can't bring myself to toss them out.
