Mod71alaska could use our prayers. His back went out on him and he is struggling a bit. A whole lot of a bit.
Get well soon victor. Blessings

Re: Please join me in prayer for one of our own
Hope you're up and around soon.
Although I never met Victor, he went out of his way to sell me a Henry Golden Boy for my then 12 yr. old son by convincing another buyer to let it go. He's now almost 17 and still loves the rifle. The other day he asked me where I got it and I told him about Victor. His reply, "That was cool of him". I guess thats about the extent of a compliment from a 16 yr. old. Thanks again friend.

Did mine about 10 years ago. You have my deepest sympathies for the pain your going through. If mine was anything to go by, recover will be slow, and constant vigilance will be required to prevent re-injury.
The thing that helped me most from a comfort standpoint was Tai-Chi. Even if you are not interested in learning Tai-Chi I would recommend learning the basic starting stance. I found that it provided instant relief from my back pain.

Re: Please join me in prayer for one of our own
Thank you Levergunners for your prayers!
I wasn't doing anything other than slouching in my chair a bit and out of nowhere my back went "ZING!" The pain was excruciating and I could barely move. This doesn't happen often, but it has happened before and it's been worse...totally immobilized on the floor in pain, calling 911, a couple days in the hospital, and weeks of careful recovery. So I knew exactly what was happening and immediately tried to straighten up and stretch through the excruciating pain. So far Valium, Oxy, back stretching exercises on the floor, wearing a heavy duty elastic back belt, AND YOUR PRAYERS are getting me through, and I am able to very carefully get around.
I FEEL THE POWER OF YOUR PRAYERS THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND IT MEANS EVERYTHING! THANK YOU, LEVERGUNNERS!

Glad your doin' somewhat better. Keep the healing coming. Just keep on keeping on with what you're doing. Sounds like it's helping.
