Reactive shotgun target

Post by perry owens »

Always looking for new ways to torment my CAS buddies I made one of these over the weekend
Image
You hit the plate with the first shot and it falls, operating the lever which throws an empty beer can into the air for the second barrel.
I have a small video of its construction and operation on my YouTube channel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMfKrjfI ... ature=plcp
Now I just have to empty 25 cans of beer before the next shoot.

Perry,

I was at a shoot June 24th in New Jersey where they had a similar target...
(I'll come back and post the video when it finishes uploading)!!! OK now... studied the manual and learned how to edit my video. Here's a black powder shooter shooting part of a stage that contains a version of the subject target. Used 12oz plastic jugs filled with colored water. The target flung 'em up about 10-12 feet in the air... what a HOOT!

Did I mention that it was a HOOT!

One of the clubs I shoot with has one that throws clay pigeons up about 30 feet. Similar construction. Try single loading your 97 on this one. I've seen it done many times and great fun.

Looks like fun. Great video Griff. Moving tarets like that are always great for spectators too.
