I am cogitating over the reason for this spate of accidents? We have had hunting accidents in the past but it seemed to be one every two years or so. This season we have had a few. Sad news to see.
It has been a rough week in Northern New England

Yeah, and out on the Left Coast, Oregon seems to have had more stupid hunting "accidents" this year than normal. Virus going around?

Yep, Three (3) deer hunters shot in separate incidents in Maine over this last 6 days, with 2 of them fatal
AFAIK, all wore two items of blaze orange, one a hat, as req'd by law. Very sad, indeed.
A member of my party met a professor from the Univ of Maine, working the North Woods with trail cameras for the State Fish & Wildlie Dept, who said it looked like the herd was down about 50% - probably why some fools are shooting at anything that moves.
