WOW. What a fish!

Congratulations to Greg Myerson.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

That's a biggy and an awesome fish for sure. They just don't get that big in fresh water.

Wow that's awesome !

I've been wanting one over 40 pounds for about 15 years now !

I cannot imagine catching one that large :!:

Yep - The Stripers are running.

We get a lot of those up here in the waters of Southern New England - but that's certainly a bit larger than normal (55-60lb/50"-54" long for a biggie).

The 33 y.o. son of one of my hunting pards, hooks them from his sea kayak, and lets it tow him around until the fish gets tired enough for him to lift it across the gunwales for the ride to shore.

Sort of a poor-man's Nantucket Sleigh Ride.

That is a sportfishing record. The absolute record was a pair caught in a beach seine in North Carolina that weighed 125 pounds each.
