Might not be "OT", as I think Uberti marks their leveractions with these codes.
Italian gun manufacturers - at least Uberti and Pietta - mark their guns with a 2-digit code corresponding to the year of manufacture. I know "CD" stands for 2009. I just acquired something marked "CF". One would think that would mean 2011 (if CD is 2009, maybe CE is 2010 and thus CF is 2011), but I just can't believe the gun is less than 20 days old and made it here already. So, I'm thinking they skipped "CE", and the "CF" is really 2010. The date codes have not been perfectly sequential.
So - does anyone know for sure?
Thanks!

Griff,
That is a great link, especially for those of us who research. Thanks.
Hobie, this link would make a great sticky. The thread topic probably will not make it stand out for future purposes.

You can:
A: Save the URL to your favorites
B: Download the .pdf and save a copy of it to your hard drive.
I did both when Griff posted this.
