Man at Arms Magazine #32 has an article on the production dates of 1894 Winchesters by David Kennedy which talks about the various factory records and the "discrepancies" between them. We've touched on most of it here but it would be a handy reference for those needing one.
PS - There is also an excellent article on Sears private brand double barrel guns. This is a subject that seems pretty popular.
