Loading the .32 Special

Post by Bigahh »

The time has finally come to make some ammo for my Grandfathers Winchester Model 64 Carbine. I shot the last of his factory ammo last weekend, and decided to store 3 boxes he bought in the early 70's. Can someone steer me in the right direction. I am thinking IMR 3031 with 170 grain Hornady Bullets, similar to my 30-30 load as they are close to the same. What other Bullet/Powder combinations do some of you like for this caliber?

A friend used 32 gr. IMR 3031 under the Hornady 170 gr. .321 jacketed RN.

One of my favorites is 29.5Gr of RL-7 with a 170Gr FP bullet,CCI-LRP in a W-W case.Iron sighted 1 1/4" group at 50 yds.Rifle is a 1968 vintage M-94.It would probably be better if I could see better

34 grains of H4895 gives me the best groups.
