new guy...

Post by kbak303 »

morning all...
I've been around firearms all my life, and I used to poo-poo my grandfather because of his fondness for his early Marlin 30-30 and a .444 he had...alas I let those slip away and been dwaddling with ARs, USPSA, Glock this, Race gun that...really ugly guns with the grace and wood of a decent lever...

went and found a Glenfield 30 to tinker on, and been lurking here. So I thought I'd say hello

trying to sell one of my XDs and a .22 because I found a '48 Marlin and a Guide Gun I just fell in love with...funny what one is missing when he slows down to look around...

Ken,

Welcome to the forum. We all have guns that we've walked away from yet always come back to. Mine is No4Mk1 Enfields and 94 Winchesters. I just can't stay away from them.

Welcome. I have a real diverse collection as well, but leverguns and revolvers are the only ones i can really chit chat about, and i have the most fun shooting them as well.

Welcome mate, hey, never be in too much of a hurry to miss whats going on around the corner. Lifes too short to miss anything about fine classic levers and other fine firearms.

Welcome from the great white north. Now that you have a base of what levers are about, go and find a Winchester and see what lever should be.

Howdy. I live in Red Oak, and several others on the Forum live within 30 to 45 miles of you. Glad to see someone else learn to like leverguns. I still have a few others, but I shoot my leverguns the most nowdays. I am slowly coming around to the accuracy and right bullet rather than lots of shots philosophy.
