Another product that we won't be able to find/get.

Well, they gotta do something to compete with Hornady for the non reloader market.
But it looks to me like they are trying to reinvent the wheel.

I like their choice of a 375 grain load. I will be curious to see what kind of velocity they put out.

I was on the CorBon site the other day. Their DPX 45-70 loads are right at $80 for a box of 20 :o

Glad to see winchester come out with a new load. options are always nice to have. problem will be the price :x the old slow comparativley cheapo remington 405 grain have done everything i ever needed on anything out to 150 yards. i've cut down small trees with them. so, i won't pay $70.00 a box for a magic bullet, load. to each his own.

Marketing hype.

Guess no one told those millions of deer, bear, and boar that they weren't supposed to die when hit with those old fashioned 300 and 405gr loads.

While we all know the old loads work just fine and have worked just fine for over a century it is nice to see the 45-70 getting all the recent press and interest. Next thing you know we will see magazine articles suggesting to new hunters that they need to sell their whiz bang SUPER DOOPER SHORT TINY LITTLE CASE ULTRA MAGNUMS and get a lever action in 45-70 if they want to be successful and have humane DRT shots on game.

Why buy those overpriced cartridges when you can load 'em better for lots less. I just scored 2lbs of IMR 3031 at Sportsman's Warehouse for 42 bucks and change. I already loaded the remainder of my 250 gr Barnes TSXs into Starline .45-90 cases with 64 grs 3031 behind 'em. That ought'ta flatten a few piggies. :)

Why do those expanded bullets look like the old "Black Talons"? Hmmm.....

Uh Oh....Looks like one of those "Cop Killer" talon bullets to me.

Well I'm glad to see something new being offered for those who don't reload, and who need something like that to drop their animal, but I figure my homemade bullets using old wheel weights will probably cost less, so I guess I'll be sticking with them.
