Thankful for Christmas spirit!
A little over 2 years ago my wife had a disagreement with our best friends. This was between the women, but somehow we all lost touch. A few days ago we received a call from them. In short, they don't even remember what the disagreement was about and said they really miss having Christmas with us. Since that time they have a baby boy and one on the way! For the past few days the ladies have been on the phone for hours and hours every day - as if time stood still and over two years hadn't passed. Yesterday they asked if it would be okay if they come to Texas to look at houses nearby. They are considering moving here to sort of get our lives back in synch like they used to be! If anyone knows a job for a large truck mechanic (ambulance, firetruck, motor home, bus - any big diesel) near Dallas please let me know. The Christmas spirit prevailed and brought friends back together again. My boys don't remember them but when we told them they were going to come and visit my 4 year old said it best - "See Mommy and Daddy, you just have to believe"

Something will surely turn up and they will be able to move to the area.
If they are your friends, he must be a hunter, so I look forward to meeting him.

Joe, he might try the company I work for. Tell him to go to http://www.ryder.com and fill out an app. online.
He can do that now, where ever he is.

That's great news. It's a shame that a disagreement should end a true friendship. It happens, I know, BTDT. But everyone pays for it. The best of luck, Joe.

truck jobs
Joe,
Stewart and Stevenson's has multiple locations in the DFW area (I think one is right by Cheaper than Dirt in FW). We send our firetrucks down there (way too) often. They work on all manner of large trucks; fire apparatus, buses, RVs, truck tractors. I would imagine that a good truck mechanic is always in demand, no matter what the economy.
I won't be at work until after New Years, but if he hasn't found something by then, I can send a list of the different shops we use that he might consider applying to.

I have to correct myself. The shop I was thinking about in FW is Freightliner. It's a large facility near 1-35W and Loop 820. I think they have a new Dallas location, too.
