Rossi 92 fix

Post by walks with gun »

I have an older Rossi 92 in 44-40. When stuffing shells in the tube I have to be carefull to get the last round straight or it will sit somewhat cockeyed and won't feed. It does'nt make any differance if it's 1 round or a full magazine. What could be the disfunction and how do I fix it. Thanks

Howdy and welcome to the forum.
That last round is catching on the front edge of the loading gate. Your loading gate needs to be fitted better. To fix it you will need to take the action apart to get the LG out. The front edge need to be grounds simular to the marlins or Win 94's but not as dractic. You remove metal in the middle of the front edge but leave the top and bottom so it doesn't pop out of the hole.
