Post by CEMENTHEAD »

This fish was 63" curved fork length and 145.75 lbs. Needless to say we were partaking in some VERY fresh sashimi on the boat that day.

Thanks, Tom

Man ohman, I'd LOVE to have some of that action. The Albacore we have out West are PUNY compared to those beasts. :D

That's awesome. Every once in a while I miss living on the coast. Now I'm gonna have to head for the Gulf to get some of my own fishing done.

Cementhead,

Beautiful fish!

How do tuna caught like that taste in comparison to what we buy in the cans?

So how sore were you the next day? That big tuna looks like he had some shoulders on him.

:D Not sore at all....believe it or not. It's all in the technique. Use your legs, not your back and arms. I proudly admit that the fish only took 20 minutes to land, from hook-up to harpooning. Now 15 years ago when I first started tuna fishing.....that's another story

Thanks, Tom
