Shootin' with my daughter

Post by hondo1892 »

My daughter and I were able to do some shooting on our vacation. Most was spent hammering nails for my sister and her husband. But we squeezed in some shooting. We shot mostly our flinters and was able to talk her into shooting my Uberti 76. She likes to hunt and shoot with her muzzleloader more than any other gun. I'm glad that she likes to shoot and hunt with dad. :D I sure will miss her when she leaves for college in a couple of years. I think I finnaly convined her to wear her perscription glasses when shooting. Her groups shrank a lot when she used them. Jee dads do know a little.

Sounds like the perfect day to me! She'll remember stuff like that the most. Beautiful Longrifles/accountrements as well.

NICE! Always enjoy seeing parents passing the tradition. I have a 12 year old daughter that loves to shoot, hunt and fish as well. I have been looking to find her a nice little muzzleloader. But I recently just started her on a compound bow for now. Guess I have a bit of time before I introduce her to something new for a while.

Very sweet rifles. My daughter and I shoot flinters too. I am wondering who made your hawk, I've been wanting to make one like that for awhile now. It looks like the perfect utility tool.

WW Gun the hawk is one of my creations. I seen an original last year and decided to make a copy. Mine is a little heavier than the old one but is still light and well balanced. I bladesmith as a side line to get my "play with money". Keeps momma happier when I don't dip into the regular bank account.

I have to remember that strategy...!

Ysabel both rifles were made by Allen Martin. He has a web site, don't know the address off hand. My rifle with the wood patchbox is on his site. He had a three year wait when I ordered my rifle. :( Seemed like it took forever to get it.
